Ask Questions C.18.11.30

It is not a sign of weakness nor a sign of ignorance to ask questions. There is no person who knows everything all the time. And because we know what we focus on – something simple outside our realm will be naturally unknown to us.

If there is something you are unsure about or simply have no knowledge about – then ask.

Asking a question is sensible.

I witnessed a woman at the chemist asking the pharmacist a straight forward simple question. Much to my dismay the pharmacist rolled her eyes as though they were dumb questions. Noticing this, I butted in and said, yes, I am curious to know also. You know we are not all privy to having all the facts – always.

The pharmacist realised that her expertise and knowledge was not general knowledge to the rest of us.

The woman who asked the question was relieved I spoke up and later we chatted about the importance of asking questions even at the risk of appearing ignorant.

There are never any ignorant questions, only ignorant responses.
