Cynicism C.18.03.20

Too often it comes to us – cynicism. This is a place in our world where we find out the people around us are not as genuine as we would like, and we adopt a certain caution and perhaps a rejection.

Cynicism is an inclination to believe that people are motivated purely by self-interest and sadly this just about sums up too many people.

Self-motivation has caused divisions in communities and has caused mistrust. It is a shame because this in turn creates cynicism among otherwise trusting people.

We all experience cynicism now and then. This is especially so when we come to the realisation that some people around us only have self-interests.
