It is not about what is said to you but how you react. Attitude is important when it comes to cutful remarks. We can choose to not allow unwelcomed remarks or opinions to not penetrate how emotions or we can absorb them unnecessarily.
It has taken a long time but I have learnt to either avoid or ignore remarks or conversations I do not want to hear. It is not easy because sometimes that thing call guilt creeps in. An unfounded guilt but one which can strike when you least expect.
Attitude is important – Remember no one can make you feel bad about yourself if you don’t let them.
