Culture C.17.01.19

Culture is a part of every society. It is the quirkiness of a town and country. Culture is not law. It is not a written document identifying any particular concept. Culture is in fact a local ideology as an unwritten unspoken acceptance.

In some countries culture is a matter of the sport played or the food eaten. Local dress is a culture. No one is bound by culture instead it is an accepted given.

Culture identifies where you came from and your connection to a particular society. As with the old Japanese culture of bounding women’s feet to ensure they remain small to be considered beautiful – an old culture which has faded out. But this gives you an example of how a culture is not a written law but rather an unspoken but acceptable custom.

What is your culture?
