Admire D.8.1

Admiration is a property which is acquired. More often than not it is automatically given to a person of status.

I attended a wedding in a church on the weekend and I was taken by the way in which the people poured admiration upon the priest. In my understanding priests and all preachers for that matter should adopt a humble view on their lives. I watched in wonders as the priest basked in his celebrity status and expected the admiration with no less than glamour.

I think admiration is something every person can achieve and not someone of status. To admire an individual it should be something that is earned rather than expected because of position.

I refuse to bow, kneel or admire someone who holds their position because of status but rather would prefer to pour my interests on deserving individuals who have earned my attention.
